Applicants would therefore be a valuable part of a small important team that enhances our service offering as well as enabling the rest of the business to maintain quality of service during rapid growth. The importance of the IT contribution is reflected in our internal reporting lines. You will require commitment to take full advantage of the opportunities that can be expected to arise in a quickly growing important department of a rapidly expanding business.

This developer position requires someone with around 2-4 years VB.NET development experience in a commercial or similar background. Front-end GUI design experience would be useful, as would the ability to create appropriate systems documentation. Supervisory or team leader skills would also be an advantage. In addition, the personal qualities of integrity, initiative, common sense, responsibility and respect for commercial realities are all important. This is an ideal second or third job. We use VB.NET, Delphi, Oracle, MySQL and Crystal but experience of other client/server databases and reporting products would be equally valid.

Salary is £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience, including Bupa health cover, 25 days holiday, and an interest free commuter loan. Support and funding for additional appropriate training will also be available.
